MontiCo was founded by Leonardo Monti, a seasoned C-level executive with over 30 years of hands-on career experience. With a background in aerospace engineering and as an Italian Air Force Academy graduate, Leonardo began his career as an Engineering Corps officer in the Italian Air Force. There, he was first in charge of managing the depot center for aircraft engine maintenance, and subsequently led the technical project engineering office for a fleet of military jet engines, achieving the rank of Captain.

Leonardo subsequently joined a leading European helicopter and aircraft OEM where, over the next decade, he held various leadership roles in program and product management, customer support engineering, manufacturing and industrial operations, and bid management for both military and civil sectors across Europe and the U.S. During his tenure, he successfully oversaw end to end the establishment of a greenfield helicopter final assembly plant in the U.S.

Building on this robust technical and business foundation, Leonardo moved to the Middle East, where he spent nine years with one of the region’s leading strategy and management consulting firms. In this role, he collaborated with top executives of public and private institutions —including CEOs and Ministers—to help them navigate their most pressing challenges and capitalize on critical opportunities at various stages of their business cycles.
